THREE ELEMENTS, ONE COLLECTION. AND LITO MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

With Lito, Mirage opens a new chapter in the world of ceramic surfaces: for the first time, a three-dimensional element joins the Mirage catalogue. The Terrae collection of wall materials, the result of a collaboration with AMDL CIRCLE (the studio founded by Michele De Lucchi), marks a significant evolution in the brand’s design language.
The collection was previewed during Milan Design Week 2025 at the Mirage Project Point in Brera.
Inspired by traditional moucharabieh, Lito reinterprets their essence in a contemporary key: sculptural modules in extruded white clay (12x12x10 cm), designed to act as a filter and boundary—never a barrier. Through a clever play of solid and void, Lito creates permeable walls of light and air, generating shifting atmospheres that respond to the passage of time.
No longer merely a covering, ceramic becomes an active material—capable of shaping space and creating dynamic, porous environments where interior and exterior blend in a sensory balance.
Alongside Lito, the Terrae collection features two other key elements:
- ATMO – A contemporary and elegant reimagining of Italy’s traditional decorative tiles. These surfaces are defined by refined, raised graphic details that interact with light to create geometric textures and a sense of depth and movement. Available in 50x120 cm panels and 20x20 cm squares, Atmo offers sophisticated tones to enhance the ceramic texture and mark the tactile rhythm of the design.
- IDRO – A surface with a more intimate delicacy, characterised by soft shading. In the Rain finish, it evokes the very first moments of light rainfall, when droplets begin to trace delicate, harmonious patterns. Through these subtle chromatic variations, Idro brings a gentle sense of contemplation to its surroundings.
With Terrae, part of the creative laboratory Atelier Mirage, the company reaffirms its commitment to aesthetic and design research, blending nature and design, function and poetry, into a collection that celebrates the profound beauty of materials and the narrative potential of ceramics.
