Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, May 20, 2025Mirage, the Italian company specialised in ceramic surfaces for architecture and interior design, announces its participation in the very first edition of Downtown Design Riyadh, taking place from May 20 to 23, 2025 at the JAX District - the creative hub of Riyadh set against the backdrop of Al Turaif, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Downtown Design Riyadh marks the Middle East debut of the leading design fair dedicated to contemporary, high-quality design. In this prestigious international setting, Mirage showcases the collections created for Atelier Mirage, its innovative creative think tank born from collaborations with leading figures in global architecture and design.

Atelier Mirage is a laboratory of ideas - a space for experimentation and research where talent, vision and creativity come together to redefine the aesthetic and functional boundaries of ceramic surfaces. For the Riyadh fair, the spotlight will be on the Indomita collection, designed by the Emiliana artist and upcycler Letizia Ballotti.

Indomita by Letizia Ballotti is a celebration of art and local talent, skillfully combining functionality with aesthetic value. The collection draws inspiration from symbolic animal figures, reinterpreted through vibrant, dynamic textures. Each piece is conceived as a decorative artwork, capable of giving identity and character to the spaces it inhabits. At the heart of the collection lies the concept of “Positive Eyes”: a central theme that transforms stylised, colourful eyes into symbols of optimism, strength and beauty, inviting us to see the world with renewed positivity.

Making its world premiere at Downtown Design Riyadh, Mirage unveils a new, exclusive version of the Indomita collection dedicated to an iconic animal of the Saudi territory: the dromedary. This new interpretation deepens the connection between design, local culture and nature.

Alongside Indomita, and within the Atelier Mirage project, the following collections will also be presented:

  • Nagomi, by architect Hadi Teherani, translates harmony between space and design into form, elevating ceramics to an aesthetic gesture of profound environmental sensitivity. Incorporating a significant percentage of recycled glass from cathode ray tubes - once the heart of monitors and TV screens - Nagomi embodies ecological responsibility and sustainable innovation.
  • Reflet, by Andrea Boschetti, is a collection where reflection plays a fundamental role, not only as a structural element but also as a narrator of form itself.

In addition to the Atelier Mirage project, Mirage also presents the Elysian Travertini collection, which celebrates the allure of natural stone with a refined ceramic interpretation. Warm, harmonious and versatile, Elysian Travertini naturally adapts to both interior and exterior environments, enhancing every architectural context. Available in two textures, Vein Cut and Cross Cut, and eight sophisticated shades.
